The Guernsey sweater was originally created as workwear for fishermen at sea.
We've reimagined this traditional knit with obafer's unique sizing and embellishments.
While the original Guernsey sweater is characterized by its fitted silhouette, we've made ours significantly oversized, creating a stress-free shape.
The neck is intentionally ribbed to resemble a hand-knitted piece, giving it the rustic charm of a homemade sweater. The comfortable, relaxed fit around the neck is also a nice touch. It's easy to wear and even has a slimming effect on the face...

QUIET embroidery
This embroidery spells out "Quiet, please do not disturb."
The slight misspelling is a unique feature.
Each stitch is meticulously hand-embroidered, one by one. This is a very time-consuming process, but it results in a depth of texture that only handmade items possess.

Material
Instead of the scratchy yarn typical of traditional Guernsey sweaters, we've opted for a soft and comfortable material. We use wool from sheep that are a crossbreed of British sheep, known for their spongy and elastic wool, and Australian Merino sheep, known for their fine and supple fibers.
Furthermore, we specifically use lamb's wool from lambs up to 5 months old. Because lamb's wool has fine fibers, it is less prickly and has a soft, fluffy texture.
We also use raw wool that has only been washed, without carbonization, by collecting wool with minimal impurities. By not using carbonization, we prevent damage to the raw wool and maintain the natural texture of the wool.
