Starting as a tabi (Japanese socks) specialty store, the traditional manufacturing methods and solid quality of shoes, which have been painstakingly produced for over 140 years, are beginning to be recognized not only in Japan but also by customers overseas.
"GYM CLASSIC" is one of MOONSTAR's iconic sneakers. Revisiting the training shoes produced in the 1960s, they have been reproduced for the present day. The monochromatic rubber tape and simple design match any style.

<Vulcanized Manufacturing Method> As adhesive bonding has become the mainstream today, this method is labor-intensive and can only be produced in a very few factories in Japan. Shoes produced by this method have the advantages of flexible and soft soles, durability, resistance to breakage, and the ability to maintain a beautiful silhouette. Above all, the appeal lies in the precise and beautiful "craftsmanship" that can only be produced by skilled handiwork. Sheet rubber is cut out for each pair to fit the foot shape, and by vulcanizing it simultaneously with the upper, it creates a comfortable fit that envelops the foot. Furthermore, by changing the rubber compound depending on the area of use, durability, cushioning, and peel resistance are made possible for each part.
