Red rattan is a hard and durable material that is soaked in water for 24 hours to soften it. It is said to be the strongest of the approximately 300 types of rattan.
As it is a natural material, the thickness varies. The color of each strand is also different. It may be entirely blackened, have an orange or reddish tint, or have partial stain-like patterns. Another characteristic is that the color changes beautifully over time.
