Red rattan is a material so hard and durable that it needs to be soaked in water for 24 hours to soften it. It is said to be the strongest among the approximately 300 types of rattan.
As it is a natural material, the thickness varies.
The color of each strand is also different.
It may be entirely darkened, or have orange or reddish tones, and sometimes even mottled patterns.
Another characteristic is that as time passes, the outer skin peels off, and it changes to a beautiful color.
