While I was busy, the cherry blossoms fell in the blink of an eye, and the deliveries for the 2024 Spring/Summer collections from tao and noir kei ninomiya are now well underway.
Ideally, I'd like to try on as many items as possible to convey their appeal to our customers, but many pieces are already finding new homes before I get the chance...
So, this time, two of us, both 156cm tall, will try on the clothes and share our thoughts.
First up is tao's indigo-dyed dress from this season.
Cotton Linen Cross MIX Indigo-dyed Dress [TM-O009-051] ¥93,500
This is....! So cute. Sorry for the limited vocabulary.
The skirt, starting high on the waist, is simple and doesn't cling to the body (and draws the eye upwards), so it feels much less ornate and more streamlined than expected.
The sleeves, in particular, are asymmetrical, with various indigo-dyed fabrics used randomly, making it adorable from every angle.
There's also lace in places, but the indigo dye effect (?) keeps it looking sleek and not overly sweet. In fact, I'd especially recommend it to those who usually dislike lace.
Overall, it's incredibly light and breezy, making me want to go to the beach. (distant look)
Speaking of indigo dye and the beach, this one is also absolutely fantastic!
Linen Cupro Check Indigo Dye Dress [TM-O011-051] ¥107,800
An adult dress that resembles ethnic wear. Yet, the check pattern adds a touch of cuteness, striking a perfect balance.
Made from seersucker fabric, it would feel smooth and non-sticky even if you sweat a lot.
It also has two pockets.

What should we put in there? Such playful details make it even more endearing.
Simply open it up and throw it on. It's a single piece that instantly creates a stylish look.
Next up is tao's dress with ruffles (on the inside, no less!). This is another special piece that can be worn as both a dress and a light jacket.
Cotton Linen Voile Coat [TM-C012-051] ¥129,800
A design that intentionally looks like the buttons have been mismatched.
Because of this, the right side of the hem rises slightly, happily revealing more of the ruffles from underneath the hem.
The back is also flawlessly designed with a crisp center slit, and although it's hard to convey in photos, the inner ruffles peeking out when you walk are simply lovely.
It's slightly sheer, so it doesn't feel too heavy and has a refreshing quality. When worn open as a light jacket, it looks like this.
Just by pairing it with your usual clothes, it becomes dramatic...! All of tao's clothes truly lift your spirits.
The last tao dress is this classic wool gabardine piece.
Standard Wool Gabardine Overdyed Flare Dress [TC-O102-051] ¥60,500 (Wearing M size)
Good...! It makes me look slimmer...!
This wool fabric is truly excellent; it's smooth and can be worn as a single layer without being see-through, and it's resistant to wrinkles, making it very easy to care for.
The classic dress with a collar and back buttons has always been popular, but it's a bit more charming, with a three-dimensional and cute design around the collar, making this one simpler.
I actually wore it for the first time this time, and everything about it, from the 3/4 length sleeves to the back buttons,
the shape of the pockets, and the front and back gathers, was spot on.
It's definitely added to my "someday I want this" list.
While it can certainly be worn for formal occasions, it would be a shame to limit it to just that. Let's try pairing it with a formal and a casual outer layer.
Cotton Linen Voile Jacket [TM-J003-051] ¥82,500
Formal look. Perhaps for occasions where you're a bit more in the public eye, or a slightly more upscale restaurant. But of course, I want you to wear it whenever you like, without feeling too pressured.
Ester Wool Gabardine Dyed x Cotton Denim Jacket [TM-J001-051] ¥96,800
Casual look. With a denim jacket, it instantly becomes casual. The fabric and tailoring are of high quality, so you won't feel out of place anywhere.
This denim jacket is very popular at the directly managed store.
Indeed, it pairs very well with all of tao's clothes, and the denim feels fresh.
Cotton Cross Check Embroidered Skirt [TM-S023-051] ¥71,500
It matches well.
This skirt also has three-dimensional embroidered flowers, which are so beautiful they make you sigh. You can gaze at them forever.
The waist is elastic, and it's not sheer, so it can be worn as a single piece, making it incredibly easy to wear.
Just by wearing it with a white T-shirt, you can easily look cute.
In a world overflowing with similar ready-made clothes, tao and noir's garments are unique, and what's wonderful is that their designs are stylish not only for young people but also for those who age gracefully. For example, even with skirts featuring ruffles and lace, there's absolutely no sense of trying too hard to look young.
And the fact that they don't look old-fashioned even after wearing them for several years is their greatest charm, I believe.

Of course, tao and tao go well together, but it also looks great when paired with noir's georgette skirt.
This jacket, with its black wool-poly (ester) fabric, is doing an excellent job.
The sizing is also relaxed, making it surprisingly easy to coordinate with various items. It's a great jacket.
Of course, this skirt from noir is also incredibly cute, and having it will definitely expand your coordination options.
The blouse made from the same fabric is also easy to wear when subtly paired with everyday clothes.

On the other hand, going full-on (all noir) might feel a bit challenging. The fabric is incredibly smooth, with a slightly cool touch. It's simply a beautiful, smooth fabric with a lovely sheer quality.
Here's a jacket that feels even more challenging.
Synthetic Leather Bonding Jacket [3M-J008-051] ¥129,800 (Wearing XS size)
It becomes easier to wear when paired with casual items like denim pants.
This jacket is lighter and lovelier than a leather jacket. It's a truly special design with dynamic contrasts. I highly recommend you try it!
Since denim pants came up, let's also look at overalls.
The asymmetrical ruffled shirt is adorable!! There's no other shirt like it.
Personally, I love the neckline and the width of the collar...!
Also, it's cute from behind, so I'd like to show you that before finishing up.
I got so excited just wearing them and snapped tons of photos, so this turned out to be a rather long post.
