The 2024ss collections for two Comme des Garçons brands, "tao" and "noir kei ninomiya", launched recently on Saturday, February 3rd! ✨
CREER has already received new arrivals, so we'd like to introduce them. 🎉
First up, tao.
The theme for this tao collection is "indigo blue." True to the theme, items dyed using Ryukyu dyeing and indigo dyeing are highlights of the collection.
Designer Tao Kurihara was inspired by the richness of nature during her travels, which formed the core of this collection. It's a wonderful collection where the energy of nature and tao's unique design aesthetic perfectly align.
Also, the collaborative designs with calligrapher Dairo Shinjo are a must-see. Shinjo, an artist from Miyakojima, Okinawa, is also behind the Ryukyu dyeing designs.
Works usually rendered in ink are expressed through Ryukyu dyeing. The combination of the soft colors of Ryukyu indigo and other indigo shades, different from sumi black, and Shinjo's powerful artwork is captivating.

Designer Kei Ninomiya reportedly stated that he added white to more strongly express the brand's signature black.
He also challenged himself to create large silhouettes by combining small parts. True to his word, the collection features a myriad of items incorporating various components such as suspenders, clips, and lace-ups, making them stand out.
