ayanoguchiaya's Autumn/Winter Collection

ayanoguchiaya is a brand that combines feminine frills and tulle with natural materials, creating a sophisticated and artistic feel.

It's a young brand that started in 2022.

However, designer Aya Noguchi has been involved in the apparel industry for over 20 years, and her creations are firmly rooted in solid craftsmanship.

Most of the clothes are reversible or can be worn front-to-back, offering delightful versatility and allowing you to enjoy one piece in two or even three different ways.

The 2024 Autumn/Winter collection has just arrived, so let's introduce it!

Tulle Skirt [dress.66]

Isn't it adorable?
This three-tiered tulle skirt can be layered over other skirts to significantly elevate your existing wardrobe!

The beauty of tulle is its lightness.
It's physically light, but it also looks light.
If the same design were made with a different fabric, like cotton or wool, it might look a bit too exaggerated.

Even with its length, it's airy and makes your shoes look cute.

And!
While it can be worn over skirts or pants, it also works wonderfully as an inner layer.

Ribbon Dress [dress.65]

This dress is even cuter!
The tulle skirt makes this already cute dress even more adorable!

Happily, it also has a petticoat-like effect, gently maintaining the fluffy shape of soft, flowing fabrics.

Of course, wearing the dress alone for a neat look is also a great option.

First, the voluminous ribbon made from the same fabric at the bust is excellent.
You're sure to receive compliments.

This dress can be worn front-to-back.

If you want a change of pace, just take your arms out and spin it around for a completely fresh look!

When the back comes to the front, the tucked and gathered part creates a fluffy detail at the chest, giving it a completely different impression.

And, the ribbon is still cute even when it's at the back!

By the way, all the staff in these photos are 160cm tall.
I, at 156cm, which is a bit shorter, also tried it on.

Here it is.

I'm wearing high-heeled shoes, but it's a bit long, which looks nice.
Since the buttons at the hem are placed higher, it's more reassuring to wear it layered over pants rather than as a single piece.

The gingham check is made of smooth cupro fabric, but the same design in ecru and black is made of cotton fabric.

Layered over that ecru ribbon dress is the
Gently Jacket Coat [dress.54]

This cute coat is made of black cotton velvet and features shimmering shell buttons.

ayanoguchiaya has a policy of minimizing zippers and plastics, showing deep consideration for the environment.

It's a classic style, but this time the lining is blue stripe.

The wide, almost equal-width white and blue stripes look very cool.

And while the black one is velvet, the ecru one is corduroy!

Isn't the ecru outfit adorable?

ayanoguchiaya tends to prefer a soft, natural ecru white over pure white.
The brighter ecru complements the skin well, blends easily with the overall look, and creates a gentle atmosphere.

Personally, the skirt was nice, but the set-up with pants made of the same material was absolutely fantastic! (See the photo below)

I heard that Aya Noguchi also highly recommended them, but unfortunately (?) the pants alone sold out.

The corduroy fabric is incredibly soft.

By the way, the lining of the coat has a glossy, elegant orange-beige color, like skin tone.

Odd Tiered Skirt [dress.63]

You may have caught glimpses of it earlier, but this asymmetrical skirt is truly unique.

First of all, the waist of this randomly layered, long tiered skirt is elastic, which is great.

The soft ecru color is versatile for all seasons, which is also a plus.

And the lace at the hem is exquisite.

Since the fabric isn't layered around the stomach and waist, it's surprisingly streamlined.
That's another great feature.

Finally, theRoving Jacket [dress.64]

This is an easy jacket to simply throw on.

The fabric is interesting, an original organic cotton fabric with a focus on the yarn.

It's a slightly bumpy, thick weave, a bit like a judo gi?

It's a good, sturdy fabric.

I think it's fine to just throw it on casually, but I really like how the model wears it with a brooch on ayanoguchiaya's website.

Finally, we'll finish with the ribbon dress layered with this jacket.

The ribbon dress is black cotton.

And this jacket is ecru.

Even with black and white, it doesn't look too stark; the gentle feel that Aya's designs achieve is truly her strong point.
