【紅籐】
エバゴスのカゴは紅籐(べにとう)といわれる丈夫な籐で作られています。
紅籐は24時間、水につけて柔らかくするほど硬く丈夫な素材で、300種類ほどある籐の中で最も丈夫と言われています。
自然のものなので、太さはバラバラ。
色味も一本つづ違います。
全体的に黒ずんでいたりオレンジや赤みがかっていたり、部分的にシミのような模様が入っていることもあります。
時が経つと良い色味に変化するのも特徴。
