[Beni-to (Red Rattan)]
Ebagos baskets are crafted from a durable rattan known as beni-to (red rattan).
Among roughly 300 varieties of rattan, this material is considered one of the strongest. It becomes even more flexible and workable after being soaked in water for 24 hours.
As a natural material, each piece varies in thickness and color. You may notice darker tones, orange or reddish hues, or natural markings that resemble stains. Over time, the surface may gently peel and develop a rich, beautiful patina—one of its unique characteristics.
Beni-to is a material that fully expresses the beauty of nature.
[Soft Cow Leather]
This leather is tanned and thinned down to approximately 0.8 mm—the practical limit—then drum-dyed and softened. It is finished with ironing to bring out a natural sheen.
Despite being thin and supple, it retains a firm structure.
This is a natural Japanese leather with no artificial finishing agents applied.
